Seventeenth Century Sinner…

We begin the day by dragging month’s worth of intricate embroidery work through the puddles, mud and dirt as we stand by a watch with horror.

I’m on location at Stowe School in Buckinghamshire to shoot a short film for Amber Brabant, a graduate from the London College of Fashion.

We film the first sequence beside an historic bridge in the school grounds – catching the eye of the occasional dog walker, the lead character Rochester drags his sword along the ground beside his mud splattered boots. Not something they see every day I suspect.

Working in the school’s theatre, the team sets up the next scene. Once we had tested the lighting – plus candles – we set about shooting the next part of the film . I also shot stills, of course, creating some nice publicity shots for the film and Amber’s creations.

I also took a few “behind the scenes” shots to show the massive amount of work that had gone into the production.

Next it was back to the office to edit the film, with the help of my wonderful wife Claire.
